Por abrasión o contagio (By Abrasion or Contagion) explores how perception is altered by virtual and affective forces that reconfigure our bodies and ways of sensing. Through paintings and sculptures, Rodrigo Ramírez Rodríguez (Mexico City, 1988) proposes a poetics of contact, where the friction between matter and image erodes the subject's boundaries and reveals its continuity with the world. His work inquires into how contemporary affects—accelerated, expansive, rhizomatic, and at times saturated—mold the contemporary experience, transforming every surface into a field of resonance where the visible and the invisible intertwine.
This exhibition is part of the BODEGA OMR program, our space dedicated to experimental projects and emerging practices, open Tuesday to Friday from 12 to 6 pm. (Doctor Andrade 41, Mexico City):
