Adolfo Riestra (1944-1989) is a prominent artist in the Mexican art scene, recognized for his versatility in drawing, painting, and sculpture.

Since his beginnings at the age of 11 in Dwite Albisson’s studio in Guadalajara, Mexico, his career has been characterized by constant exploration and experimentation with themes, techniques, and media.His work has been showcased in institutions such as the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City and the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET) in New York. He has also participated in group exhibitions with iconic artists like Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, Rufino Tamayo, and Francisco Toledo.

His legacy lives on in prestigious collections, including those at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Monterrey, and the Lehmbruck Museum in Germany.
