For our debut at Mira Art Fair we decided to depart from an expanded understanding of care, conceived not so much as a specific action, but as a condition that shapes our relationships with other bodies, objects, and environments.

‍

At a time marked by polarization, uncertainty, and an increasing difficulty in recognizing the other, we are interested in considering care and empathy as forms of resistance.

The selection brings together artistic practices from different generations that, through diverse languages and sensibilities, explore the body and its transformations, intimacy, desire, memory, and our relationship with the world around us.

Here, vulnerability is understood not as weakness, but as a form of openness: the capacity to affect and be affected, to acknowledge our interdependence, and to pay attention to what surrounds us. Rather than simply representing care, we seek to explore the conditions that make it both possible and necessary, recognizing that acknowledging our shared vulnerability can, in itself, be an act of resistance.
